About
Who you would be sitting with.
I trained at a psychoanalytic institute and have been in independent practice since 2014. Before that I worked in a community mental health service, which is where I learned how much of the useful work happens in the ordinary weekly hour rather than in anything clever.
My approach is relational and open-ended. That means I am interested in what happens between us in the room as well as in what you report from outside it, and that I do not work to a fixed number of sessions.
I am in supervision, as all practitioners should be, and I keep my own therapy. Neither of those is a formality.
I see adults only, individually. I do not offer couples work, family work, or assessment reports for legal purposes, and I will refer on where those are what is needed.
