Wrenfield Therapy Rooms

Fifty minutes that are yours, once a week, for as long as it takes.

I am a psychotherapist working with adults in individual, open-ended therapy. Sessions are weekly, at the same time each week, in a quiet room away from the street. There is no package, no set number of sessions, and no assessment fee.

How therapy works here

Weekly, fifty minutes, and no end date agreed in advance.

We meet weekly, at the same time. Consistency does more work in therapy than intensity does.

Sessions are fifty minutes. There is no agenda set in advance; you bring what is there that week, and we follow it.

This is open-ended work. Some people come for a few months, some for several years. You decide when to stop, and we take a few sessions to end properly rather than stopping abruptly.

Everything said in the room stays in the room, with the ordinary exceptions of risk to life. I will tell you if that ever applies before I act on it.

The room

A room, a chair, and a clock you can see.

Ground floor, street entrance, no shared waiting area. You will not pass anyone on the way in or out. There is a bathroom you can use before we begin, and water. The clock is on the wall behind me so you can see how much time is left without asking.

Fees and frequency

$120

$120

per fifty-minute session, weekly

Paid monthly in arrears for the sessions in that month. I hold a small number of reduced-fee places; if cost is the reason you would not start, say so and I will tell you honestly whether one is free.

Missed sessions are charged, because the hour is held for you. Holidays are given four weeks’ notice on both sides.

Questions

Things people ask before they write.

How do I know if therapy is for me?

You do not, before you start. The first few sessions are partly about finding that out. If I think you would be better served elsewhere, I will say so and help you find it.

What happens in the first session?

Do you offer online sessions?

How long will it take?

Can I contact you between sessions?

Getting in touch

Write a few lines about what brings you.

You do not need to explain it well — that is what the work is for. I reply to everything within two working days.

If you are in crisis now, this form is not the right route. Contact your doctor, an emergency service, or a crisis line.
